Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using Bookloom you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms please do not use the app.
2. Who Can Use Bookloom
- You must be at least 13 years old
- You must have a valid Google account
- You must agree to these terms
- You must agree to Google's own Terms of Service
If you are under 18 please ensure a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your Account
a) Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account used to sign in to Bookloom.
b) Secret Key
If you choose to enable encryption you are solely responsible for:
- Keeping your secret key safe
- Storing it somewhere secure
- Any consequences of losing it
ARVstudios cannot recover your secret key under any circumstances. Loss of your secret key means permanent loss of access to your encrypted notes. This is by design to protect your privacy.
c) Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Bookloom only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Use the app for any illegal activity
- Attempt to reverse engineer the app
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Use the app to store illegal content
- Attempt to compromise the security of the app or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to access the app without permission
5. Your Content
a) Ownership
You retain full ownership of all notes, files and content you create in Bookloom. We claim no ownership over your content.
b) Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you store in Bookloom. ARVstudios takes no responsibility for any content stored by users.
c) Encrypted Content
If you enable encryption ARVstudios has no ability to access, review or moderate your encrypted content. You are entirely responsible for it.
6. Google Drive
When you connect Google Drive to Bookloom:
- Files are stored in your personal Drive
- You remain the owner of all files
- We request only minimum permissions needed to create and access files created by Bookloom
- You can revoke Drive access at any time from your Google account settings
Bookloom is not responsible for any loss of files stored in Google Drive. Google Drive's own Terms of Service apply to your stored files.
7. Premium Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

a) Billing
All purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. By making a purchase you agree to Google Play's Terms of Service.
b) Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy. ARVstudios does not process refunds directly.
c) Free Tier
The free tier of Bookloom is available indefinitely. Features available in the free tier may change over time with reasonable notice.
d) Premium Features
Access to premium features is contingent on an active subscription. Cancelling your subscription will result in loss of access to premium features at the end of the current billing period.
e) Pricing Changes
ARVstudios reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Any pricing changes will be communicated to existing subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect through the app or via email. Continued use of the premium subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. Existing subscribers will not be charged the new price until their current billing period ends.
8. Availability and Service
ARVstudios will make reasonable efforts to keep Bookloom available and functioning. However we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted availability of the service
- That the service will be error free
- That data will never be lost
We strongly recommend keeping backups of important notes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law ARVstudios shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data including notes and files
- Loss of access due to forgotten secret keys
- Any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app
- Any issues arising from third party services including Google Drive and Supabase
10. Intellectual Property
- Bookloom and the ARVstudios name and logo are our intellectual property
- You may not use our name, logo or branding without written permission
- The app's code and design are proprietary and may not be copied or redistributed
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Bookloom after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
